Information about returns, exchanges and purchase conditions for our hand-knotted Persian rugs.
For purchases made directly in our showroom, clients are invited to carefully inspect the rug before confirming the purchase. Our team is available to provide information about the piece, including its origin, materials, dimensions, condition and particular characteristics.Whenever possible in Belgium, we may offer clients the opportunity to try a rug in their own interior before final confirmation, so that they can assess the piece in its actual setting.
For online purchases made by consumers, the legal right of withdrawal may apply in accordance with applicable Belgian and European consumer protection rules. In principle, consumers have 14 days from the delivery date to inform us that they wish to withdraw from the purchase.To exercise this right, clients must contact us clearly and in writing before the end of the withdrawal period. The rug must then be returned according to the instructions provided by Paysages d’Orient.
Any returned rug must be unused, clean, undamaged and returned in its original condition. Rugs showing signs of use, stains, odours, damage, alteration, improper handling or exposure to unsuitable conditions may not be accepted for return or exchange.Clients are responsible for ensuring that the rug is properly protected and packaged for return transport.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, return costs are the responsibility of the client. Due to the size, value and delicate nature of certain rugs, returns may require a specific transport solution.Before returning any item, clients must contact Paysages d’Orient to receive return instructions. We may refuse returns that are sent without prior notice or without appropriate protection.
Exchanges may be discussed depending on availability and the condition of the returned rug. Because each piece is unique, an exchange for an identical item is not possible.An exchange for a similar piece may be proposed when available, but the final choice depends on the client’s personal taste, the dimensions required and the selection currently available.
Each rug presented by Paysages d’Orient is a singular, hand-knotted creation, existing as a one-of-a-kind item. The inherent variations in texture, weaving, fringes, finish, and dimensions are indicative of the artisanal nature of each rug and should not be perceived as defects. It is important to acknowledge that the rug's colors may appear to vary in lightness or darkness based on the viewing angle, pile direction, lighting conditions, and observer's position. This natural visual phenomenon is intrinsic to the character of hand-knotted rugs and is not considered a flaw.
